Well, I know that I should try to start with something really interesting, maybe philosophy of life, freedom, crimes and punishments, or any other topic that would be a real "teaser" for people to start commenting or interacting...
But anyway, as this is actually not supposed to be used as a journal or a diary, to express my feelings or whatever, I'm going to write about things I know I can use during my classes, and that I imagine my students will like.
So first topic chosen: SPORTS.
And the first picture is of one of the NBA games that I've watched. (Yeah, I took the picture... isn't it awesome?!? hehehe)
Why basketball? Because someone really special (yeah, you know I'm talking about you, right?) made me start loving that
sport...
Why the Washington Wizards? Because Washington, DC is going to be my home soon... and I like supporting the teams from "home"...
I myself have always been into sports. When I was younger, I used to play handball for a while (well, the team sport... I heard that in the USA people don't even know this fantastic sport... they understand that handball is some kind of individual sport that you play, somehow like squash, but instead of using a racket, you use your own hand)... then I started with my "swimming era", which was interrupted for a while, but I'm trying to get back... and running too...
